Reflection
回复删除On the 16th Feb 2011, Wednesday, our class, 1K, had a trip to the newater visitor centre. I have learnt a lot of things in this trip.
At 11a.m, we boarded the bus excitedly. About 11.30 a.m, we reached the newater visitor centre. When I got off the bus, there was a small lake. Not far away, I caught a glimpse of many golden fish swimming in the water. When we entered the newater visitor centre, a lady came to us. She introduced herself first and she was our guide. She took us to the auditorium and watched a short video about the water sources in Singapore.
The next station was the exhibition hall. There were a lot of games in it. But due to the less time, I did not try them all. The most interesting thing I remember was the wooden boat. We could sit on it and tried to rowed the boat.
After we played the games and had a lot of fun, Janice bought us to the colourful newater fountain. We stepped on the glass and took many pictures. Then we went to the newater factory. At there, we learnt how newater was produced. There were three stages altogether. The first stage was ultrafiltration. It will filter out the harmful bacteria and other particles. But the dissolved salts will left in the filtered water. The second stage was utilizes reverse osmosis. In this stage, it will filter out more bacteria and viruses and the water is potable. The third stage was UV disinfection. This will ensure that the water is clean and safe to drink. At the end of the trip, everyone got a free bottle of newater.
At 2.30 p.m, we reached our school. I found the trip was very interesting and I looked forward to the next trip.
